Special Notes:
Please be aware that the closest medical emergency services are at Chilliwack General Hospital or Mission Hospital. Both facilities are an hour away, in ideal conditions. Take this into consideration if you have special medical needs that may require immediate assistance.
The mountain road consists of gravel and hairpin turns. You can navigated it easily (and many do), if you take your time. Be sure your vehicle is equipped with the proper tires and equipment, for the current or expected conditions.
During the winter months the ministry of transport requires all vehicles going up the mountain to carry chains from October 1st to April 31st.
Vehicles with 4×4 and snow tires have the easiest time coming up the mountain but front wheel drive with snow tires work well too. For added traction we recommend front wheel drive vehicles outfit their vehicle with chains on the front tires.
